City of Dos Palos – Police Department
Rural Development will help the City of Dos Palos with a $40,535 Community Facilities grant. This project will help purchase a variety of equipment for the City of Dos Palos Police Department including a K-9 police dog, two fuel efficient vehicles, digital patrol cameras, tasers, and updated computers and radios.
The new equipment and police dog will help enhance the police department’s first responder efficiency and allow them to better serve and protect the community. The department currently does not have the ability to communicate within the existing government, so new radios will help ensure better communication.
The city will leverage this grant with $33,165 of police department funds. Barry Mann, Chief of Police for the City of Dos Palos said the city has received bids for everything and he expects to make purchases by the end of July.
