Budget/Accounting Technician GS-561/525-4 ($8.95/hour) LOCATION: USDA, Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Washington, DC MAJOR DUTIES: The incumbent will be assigned to the Budget and Fiscal Branch, Resources Management Division, of the Assistant Inspector General for Policy Development and Resources Management. The incumbent will assist budget and fiscal analysts with formulation and execution of the OIG budget, control of expenditures, and monitoring of agency budget and fiscal activities. The incumbent will also assist with maintaining financial and administrative records. Management Assistant GS-344-4 ($8.95/hour) LOCATION: USDA, Office of the Inspector General, Washington, DC MAJOR DUTIES: The incumbent will be assigned to the Information Management Division of the Assistant Inspector General for Policy Development and Resources Management. The incumbent will assist management analysts in responding to information requests. Incumbent will prepare routine forms in response to requests from the public and news media, and will answer routine calls from requesters concerning the status of their requests. Incumbent may also assist with the formulation, maintenance, and distribution of the agency's internal directives and assignments associated with the information management program (e.g., data input, preparation of inventories). The incumbent will work under the general guidance of the Chief Counsel and Assistant Counsels of the Inspector General. Incumbent will research state and federal court legal precedents, statutes and legislative histories; prepare legal memoranda and sections of legal documents; review and analyze information from law books and other legal references material; and assist staff attorneys in preparing for subpoena enforcement and administrative hearings.
