The Departmental Human Resources Division (DHRD) is dedicated to meeting the human resources needs of Departmental Administration (DA) and USDA Staff Offices in a manner that is customer-driven and cost-effective. DHRD values the diversity of our employees and works collectively to make DHRD an employer of choice in the human resources community.

The President's Management Agenda (PMA) identifies areas where Federal managers are focusing their attention in order to provide the most efficient and effective administrative support and infrastructure for achieving the Government's mission. The five initiatives in the PMA are Strategic Management of Human Capital; Expanded Electronic Government; Competitive Sourcing; Improved Financial Performance; and Budget and Performance Integration. DHRD directly supports the Strategic Management of Human Capital by identifying services and service expectations for customers and service providers. 

In the last few years, we've made significant advances in streamlining and strengthening our customer service, and we're continuing to work hard every day to continue this momentum. We pledge to provide high quality, caring, timely, and accurate service that complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
