Personnel Security
Branch is responsible
for making final
determinations regarding
an employees
suitability to occupy
a sensitive position
and/or eligibility
for access to classified
national security
information.
Goals in Pursuit
of the PSB Mission:
The following core
goals best articulate
the road map for
PDSDs personnel
security mission
in FY07:
Goal #1:
Publish a Departmental
Regulation and Manual
(DR/DM) on Personnel
Security.
Goal #2: Modernize
the Personnel Security
Database.
Goal #3:
Provide guidance
and support to agencies
concerning Homeland
Security Presidential
Directive (HSPD)
12 implementation
for Personal Identity
Verification (PIV)
Phase I, and PIV
Phase II.
Goal #4:
Strive to meet adjudication
and case processing
timeliness goals
as established by
the Office of Management
and Budget (OMB).
Goal #5:
Conduct onsite audit
and technical assistance
visit to USDA Office
of the Chief Information
Officer (OCIO).
Goal #6: Implement
the imaging of security
and investigative
files.
Goal: #7: Maintain
consistent customer
service throughout
all program areas
within PDSD.
