  GPEA Compliance Documentation

The Government Paperwork Elimination Act (GPEA) directs Federal agencies to provide public access to government services and documents, and to provide the public the option of submitting government forms electronically by October 2003. In order to measure each Federal agency’s progress meeting the GPEA deadline, OMB collects information annually that describes the degree to which electronic alternatives for conducting business are already available, what additional electronic transactions will be offered by October 2003, and what customer interactions have been deemed not practicable for an electronic option.
