Food Safety and Security Tools Description: The Food Safety and Secuirty Tools have been designed to develop interdepartmental capabilities for collaboration, real-time data collection, and port and plant specific data tracking and retrieval. All Government parties with responsibility for food safety will have real-time access to entering and tracking data for decision-making purposes. These individuals will also have more advanced resources for investigating causes of foodborne illness. These resources can be coordinated across USDA agencies, as well as other Federal and state agencies.
