USDA Sustainability Buildings Implementation Plan NEW!
This plan outlines the steps USDA intends to take to comply with EO 13423, including implementing sustainable practices for high performance construction, leasing, operation, and maintenance of buildings. Presidential Directive on Energy and Fuel Conservation by Federal Agencies
On September 26, 2005 President Bush issued a directive to the heads of executive departments and agencies to take appropriate actions to conserve natural gas, electricity, gasoline, and diesel fuel at their facilities to the maximum extent consistent with the effective discharge of public responsibilities.
