Termination of Certain Schedule A Employees (Section 7220)

The bill requires the Secretary to terminate all Schedule A Employees (dual state-federal extension specialists) by January 31, 2003. The bill provides that these employees, while losing their status as federal employees, will remain eligible to participate in Federal benefits programs to the same extent they were eligible to participate the "day before enactment of the Act."
