USDANEWS VOLUME 55 NO. 6 - JULY 1996

Terry Medley was selected as administrator of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. He succeeded Lonnie King, who served in that position from July 1995 until July 1996 when he became Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University.

From Aug. 1995 until his recent selection Medley served as APHIS's associate administrator. The Oct.-Nov. 1995 issue of the USDA News carried a more complete biographical sketch, following his selection to that position.¤
