Denny Bschor is the regional forester of the Forest Service’s Alaska Region, headquartered in Juneau.

From December 1998 until his selection to this position Bschor served as director of FS’s Recreation, Heritage, and Wilderness Resources Staff at its headquarters office in Washington, DC. He was forest supervisor of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, based in Mountlake Terrace, Wash., from 1994-98. From 1985-94 he worked in FS’s Rocky Mountain Regional Office in Lakewood, Colo., serving in such positions for the region as director of public affairs and acting director of recreation and public service. He began his career with the Forest Service in 1969 as a forester with the Saguache Ranger District on the Rio Grande National Forest in southern Colorado.

Rick Cables, the previous regional forester of FS’s Alaska Region, is now the regional forester of FS’s Rocky Mountain Region.
