The USDA Symbol

Electronic Formats

These files contain the USDA symbol and related Department signatures.

The files can be used in WordPerfect or other word processing software. They are also usable in page layout applications such as Adobe PageMaker when preparing a camera-ready document for printing. The user must import the files for placement in their software.

Note: these formats work best if used in WordPerfect for Windows 6.0 or later.

The formats provided are as follows:

For PC:

1. pcx (Zsoft Paintbrush)
2. wmf (Windows Metafile)
3. tif (Tag Image File)
4. eps (Encapsulated Postscript)

For Macintosh:

1. eps (encapsulated postscript)

The files can be enlarged or reduced provided they are scaled proportionately to retain the integrity of the symbol as designed.

The USDA symbol, optimized for internet use, has been placed on the USDA Home Page for agencies to copy for use on their own home pages.
