A tour of the facility, located at 806 E. Boston, will begin at 2:00 p.m. Glickman has made food recovery, or gleaning, his top personal priority since becoming Secretary of Agriculture. It estimated that up to 20 percent of all food annually produced in the U.S. for human consumption goes to waste. At the same time thousands of people in Kansas and across the country go hungry. Secretary Glickman also will deliver the Eisenhower Lecture at Wichita State University. The lecture will take place in Wiedeman Hall on Alumni Drive at 12 p.m. # NOTE: USDA news releases and media advisories are available on the Internet.
