SECRETARY GLICKMAN TO JOIN PRESIDENT CLINTON TO VIEW FLOOD DAMAGE  

     WASHINGTON, April 21, 1997--Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will
join President Clinton, Tuesday, April 22, 1997 to view flood damage in
North Dakota and Minnesota and to discuss federal disaster assistance
programs to help those areas devastated by flooding.
     
     In Glickman's absence, Deputy Secretary Richard Rominger will visit
Boston to join Mayor Thomas Menino on the steps of Faneuil Hall to
commemorate Earth Day.  Rominger will participate in an event to initiate
the city of Boston into the Urban Resources Partnership Program.
