USDA ANNOUNCES DATE TO RELEASE POULTRY SLAUGHTER REPORT

     WASHINGTON, July 7, 1997--The U.S. Department of Agriculture's
National Agricultural Statistics Service has rescheduled the release of its
Poultry Slaughter report for Tuesday, July 8, 1997 at 3:00 p.m.  The report
was originally scheduled for release on July 2, 1997.
