AGRICULTURE SECRETARY DAN GLICKMAN TO VISIT ILLINOIS STATE FAIR

Will Join Senator Dick Durbin to Discuss Ethanol and Other Agricultural Issues

     WASHINGTON, Aug. 8, 1997--At the invitation of Senators Dick Durbin and Carol
Moseley-Braun, Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will visit the Illinois State Fair
in Springfield on Tuesday, August 12.

     At 4 p.m., Glickman and Durbin will hold a media availability to discuss efforts
to support ethanol and extend the federal ethanol excise tax incentive.
