GLICKMAN WILL PROVIDE UPDATE TODAY ON E-COLI OUTBREAK


     WASHINGTON, Aug. 21, 1997--Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will
hold a news conference this afternoon about the investigation into the 
e-coli contamination of hamburger patties from Hudson Foods. 

     The news conference will begin at 2:30 p.m. today, August 21, in
