The Council advises the Secretary on forestry research funded by USDA's Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service and by USDA's Forest Service. "This group of talented people bring diverse insights to guiding our forestry research," said Glickman. "The Council gives us perspectives which are critical to setting our forestry research priorities, and to coordinating our work with forestry research programs in universities, forest industry, and other Federal and state agencies."
