GLICKMAN TO ATTEND THE CALIFORNIA FARM EQUIPMENT SHOW AND INTERNATIONAL
EXPOSITION

     WASHINGTON, February 4, 2000 -- Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will
attend a series of events in conjunction with this year's California Farm
Equipment Show and International Exposition.  Among other things, Glickman
will attend the opening ceremony and will also join Congressman Cal Dooley in
a meeting with local mayors to discuss rural development efforts.   Following
is a schedule of Secretary Glickman's itinerary.   

               8:15 a.m.      Makes opening remarks to the opening ceremony of the
               California Farm Equipment Show and International Exposition. 
               

               Special Events Tent
               International Agri-Center 
               4450 South Laspina Street
               Tulare, CA


               9:30 a.m.      Tours California Farm Equipment Show and International
               Exposition with Congressman Cal Dooley.  (B-roll and stills
               only.)   


                    11:30 a.m.          Holds media availability about agricultural trade with
                    Congressman Cal Dooley and local growers.

               Outside the Social Hall
                                                            International Agri-Center     
               Tulare, CA

               2:00 p.m.      Holds media availability about local rural development
               efforts with Congressman Cal Dooley and local mayors and
               officials.
