USDA AND BRAZIL TO SIGN RESEARCH AGREEMENT

     WASHINGTON, Feb. 28, 2000 U.S. Department of Agriculture and Brazilian
government officials tomorrow will sign an agreement to conduct a joint
research project to biologically control the Aedes aegypti mosquito that
transmits Dengue virus.  The virus causes a severe flu-like illness that has
reached epidemic proportions in Brazil and other parts of the world.
