USDA TO HOLD SYMPOSIUM ON INVASIVE SPECIES


     WASHINGTON, March 1, 2000-U.S. Department of Agriculture will hold a
Symposium "Invasive Plants: Making a Difference," on March 2, 2000.  Michael
Dunn, Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs, will conduct the
proceedings. Impacts of invasive plants and weeds and solutions to these
problems will be discussed.
