GLICKMAN TO LAUNCH NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

     Washington, April 12, 2000   Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will
deliver opening remarks at the National Agricultural Earth Day Celebration on
Thursday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. on the National Mall.  The Ag-Earth Day
Celebration ceremonies will include several exhibits to highlight how
America's farmers and ranchers contribute to clean water and air, healthy soil
and improved wildlife habitat and open spaces.
