GLICKMAN TO RELEASE DROUGHT COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS

     Washington, May 15, 2000   Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will
release the final recommendations of the National Drought Policy Commission on
Tuesday, May 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Department of Agriculture, Washington DC. 
The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will also
present its three-month drought forecast at the Commission's meeting.
