Shalala will discuss the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans and make several announcements promoting health and nutrition at the National Nutrition Summit. This summit will bring together about 2000 researchers, policy makers, educators, advocates, and health professionals to discuss the significant challenges the United States faces in the area of nutrition and health.
