The event is sponsored by the New York Restoration Project and the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps. The restoration project covers five miles of the Bronx River's bank and surrounding riparian forest. Specific projects include removal of invasive species, debris, blockages and graffiti; new plantings; and clean-up and building of paths and trails.
