USDA TO HIGHLIGHT NATIONAL FARM SAFETY AND HEALTH WEEK

WASHINGTON, September 15, 2000- Agriculture Deputy Secretary Richard Rominger and National Safety Council President Jerry Scannell will hold a press conference on Monday, September 18 at 3:30 p.m. to highlight the importance of farm safety and to recognize National Farm Safety and Health Week.

This weekend President Clinton will proclaim September 17-23 as National Farm Safety and Health Week.
