WASHINGTON, June 24, 1997--Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman and Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt on Monday, June 30 will lead a workshop discussion on recreation and tourism and how to protect, enhance, and restore the health of the Lake Tahoe Basin ecosystems.
Titled "Forest Ecosystem Restoration; Recreation and Tourism," Monday's workshop will bring together local, regional, and national expertise and interests in three roundtable panel discussions: Recreation and Tourism; Fire; and Health of the Forest Ecosystem.
This workshop is the second of three workshops being held by Clinton Administration officials in preparation for the Lake Tahoe Presidential Forum to be hosted by President Clinton and Vice President Gore on July 25 and 26.
