Mail Delivery to Headquarters Complex - March 16, 2005

The U.S. Postal Service has advised federal agencies that the V Street postal facility remains closed. While preliminary tests for hazardous materials were negative, delivery services will not resume until the facility has been cleared.

Until we receive further information from the Postal Service, we are holding mail delivery of incoming mail received on the afternoon delivery on Monday, March 14. Outbound mail is being processed and USPS expects to resume pickup services this afternoon. The Post Office in the Ag Promenade is open for business. Other commercial courier services, including FedEx, DHL and UPS, are providing services and delivery on schedule.

While federal mail is irradiated in Bridgeport , NJ prior to delivery, the Postal Service is taking steps they feel necessary to safeguard the health of their employees and customers and to ensure the security of the mail. We expect regular service will resume soon. We appreciate your patience and will keep you updated as information becomes available.
