Large Print documents are some of the most highly used alternative formats. As the population ages, low vision becomes more prevalent. The standard font size is 12 point. This is too small for a large number of the general population and employees. Font size can be enlarged to almost any size although people with low vision generally require between 18-24 point. It is recommended you bring several copies of large print documents to seminars, workshops, and training sessions. Be sure to ask if attendees require large print copies when they register for these events. Reminder: It is the responsibility of the agency that is conducting the event to convert informational documents into large print, if requested.
