Transparency, collaboration and participation with all stakeholders are essential to successful engagement with and service provided to the public. The Open Gov Initiative charged us to transform how government interacts with the public to be more open, transparent & collaborative. With your help, we issued our Open Gov Plan earlier this year, but the work doesn’t end there.

As we implement programs and strategies, increase opportunities for participation and collaboration, we want to continue the discussion and seek input and feedback through this platform. We welcome you to continue sharing ideas and brainstorming on key issues, policies or initiatives.

Final Regulatory Reform Plan August 2011

USDA received comments on its proposed plan from a broad range of groups and individuals. Taking these comments into account, USDA has developed a revised plan for reviewing its regulations. In this revised plan, USDA remains committed to minimizing the burdens on individuals, businesses and communities attempting to access programs that promote economic growth, create jobs, and protect the health and safety of the American people.
