Seven school districts in rural northern Montana have formed a consortium to improve the educational opportunities of students, teachers and members of the rural communities. The RUS grant award will be used to the purchase data terminal equipment, interactive video facilities and related software to enable the schools to share instructional time for required course offerings and other continuing educational requirements that can not be obtained by each district on its own. The system proposed in this project will promote rural opportunities, enhance the quality of life of rural residents and promote economic development.
