Section 2 - hh Handholes

Utilities Program Acceptance Procedures for Hand-holes
hh – Handholes for Copper and Fiber Optic Systems
(Only filled terminal blocks are accepted.)

 

In addition to the requirements shown under the general listing procedures ( http://www.usda.gov/rus/telecom/listing_procedures/general_lop.htm ), the following information is required in a request for acceptance of Enclosures, ready-access, cable:

  • Item 1: Two copies of test data demonstrating compliance with Telcordia's Issue 1 of GR-902-CORE, Generic Requirements for Handholes and Other Below-Ground, Non-Concrete Splice Vaults( http://telecom-info.telcordia.com/site-cgi/ido/index.html ), ANSI/SCTE 77 2002 standard, Specification for Underground Enclosure Integrity, or any other nationally recognized industry standard covering telecommunications handholes

  • Item 2: Product identification information

  • Item 3: Catalog designations for each handhole size and type

  • Item 4: Catalog information describing the product

  • Item 5: Quality assurance data which is representative of several lots of production and which demonstrates the reliability of an ongoing quality control program. If available, provide a copy of the Quality Control Manual currently in use.
