In addition to the requirements shown under the general listing procedures, for initial acceptance of buried plant housings, RUS requires information showing compliance with the applicable requirements included in the following bulletin:

Optical buried plant housings should comply with sections 1 thru 5 in the above housing specification with pertinent performance test data for the optical components used in the housings to provide connectivity. Compliance with other National Recognized Industry Standards i.e., Telcordia GR-2898-CORE, Generic Requirements for Fiber Demarcation Boxes may be considered.
