RDUP Acceptance Procedures for WIRELESS NETWORKS

In addition to the information required under the general acceptance procedures, include the following information in a request for initial acceptance of wireless networks. Items in this category include equipment such as base stations, license and unlicensed radio systems, wireless local loop systems, and wireless networks. Termination equipment, repeaters, housings and multiplexers are considered an integral part of the system. RUS does not consider individual system components for acceptance.

Product Description

Provide technical documentation that includes: block diagrams of the system; equipment specifications; engineering and application information, as well as, information on maintenance and installation; quality assurance and reliability considerations that demonstrate system reliability; and equipment repair and return procedures. Do not include system configuration and troubleshooting manuals. Also, include one copy of the product price list and one copy of the installation manual.

Specifically, broadband wireless systems must be wide area network (WAN) systems capable of at least 200 kilobits per second bidirectional service. Provide network diagrams/architecture, planning guides, acceptance testing processes, etc… that will demonstrate the product's applicability in rural service area situations. If the product has undergone performance testing or field trials, please provide, if available in electronic format, one copy of the evaluation report, analysis, summary, etc.

Conformance to Standards

List all industry specifications and requirements from nationally recognized standard developing organizations for which the product complies, such as those from ANSI, Telcordia Technologies, IEEE, ATM Forum, IETF, TIA , etc. Include the title, version and date for each specification. Also include FCC certifications, any quality assurance certification, and any acceptance from a nationally recognized testing laboratory.
