CONSIDERING PROJECT EFFECTS UNDER NEPA

 

COURSE SCOPE

This is a unique course tailored to NEPA practitioners who need more information on indirect, direct, socio-economic and cumulative effects. It provides more detail than found in 40 C F R 1500 et al.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe National and policy relating to socio-economic issues that result from the national Environmental Policy Act.

  • Describe the Federal socio-economic regulations, guidance, policies and Executive Orders.

  • Determine what aspects of socio-economic policies are relevant in implementing U S D A programs.

  • Identify potential cumulative and indirect effects and respond appropriately.

  • Describe cumulative (impacts) effects.

  • Describe indirect effects.

COURSE SCOPE:

Approximately two (2) hours.
