Sergio Porras


Sergio Porras is the Director of the TARGET Center in the Office of Operations, Departmental Administration, USDA.

Mr. Porras leads a diverse portfolio integrating planning, management, oversight, and resourcing activities in support of the United States Department of Agriculture mission to provide a resilient center for section 504, disability-related activities that enhances the Department’s workforce as an employer of choice increasing capabilities for individuals with disabilities.

Prior to coming to USDA, Mr. Porras was an Analyst for the Office of Secretary of Defense, Director of Administration and Management, Performance Improvement Directorate, a Program Manager for the Army National Guard, Department of the Army, and server as a Command Sergeant Major until he retired from the United States Army, Army National Guard in 2018. He is a recipient of a Bronze Star for Valor, a Bronze Star for service, a Purple Heart and many more awards and accolades.

A native of Los Angeles, CA., Mr. Porras received his Master of Science in Leadership with Distinction & Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary studies Magna Cum Laude from University of Arkansas Grantham and currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Policy (D.P.P.) at Liberty University.
