This tool is designed to assist in evaluating the feasibility and opportunities for locating a new biorefinery. The tool provides access to information on demographics, land use, biomass, feedstock, economics, and financial management. Using this tool, stakeholders can perform market and economic analysis on the viability of a renewable fuels project, and on the potential benefits of selling your feedstocks to a refinery rather than in the traditional sales market. The sustainability section of the tool allows users to assess GHG (CO2) savings and the amount of petroleum fuels possibly replaced by biofuels.

This map application presents a variety of information to assist the user in evaluating the feasibility and opportunities in locating a new biorefinery in the United States. The information is organized into different map types that allow the user to scroll through data layers relevant to that map type. Tools allow the user to generate custom reports that compare or summarize information in the current map.
Economic
Provides hypothetical calculated values based on input values and economic/market assumptions. The calculations are based largely on the ABC Study.
Sustainability
Provides a list of resources related to sustainability.
Available in the Public Official and Investor/Lender user groups.
Resources
Provides a list of resources related to renewable energy incentives, financing, research, tools, and other information.

Instructions: This Crop Production Value Calculator estimates general calculations to provide comparisons. Three columns are provided to allow for comparisons and customization. To get started you can select the crop type, region, and year of interest for the Baseline and Adjusted columns. The Baseline column provides values that cannot be changed and serves as a default value for the crop, region, and year. The Adjusted column loads the same default values as Baseline, however you can change these values to reflect your local knowledge. The Custom column does not load any default values, instead it allows you to enter you own crop type, region, year, and values. Fields that are automatically calculated are greyed out and the most recently updated values will be shown with a dark blue border around them.
