The Town of Roland, Oklahoma is located just 5 miles from the Arkansas border in extreme east central Oklahoma. Roland has the tools we need for growth, but economic development cannot happen without planning and a vision for the future. The new water treatment plant expansion will set the stage for Roland’s future.
Funded with approximately $3.7 million in loans and grants from USDA Rural Development’s Rural Utilities Service, this plant will allow our community to establish a solid foundation for future expansion and open new opportunities in the area of economic development.
Being able to offer high quality water as well as being able to meet the demands of existing customers and potential employers in our community will encourage growth and give us the tools we need to compete regionally and nationally to bring new jobs to our area. In turn, along with our new wastewater treatment plant just finished this year, this new water plant will allow for growth in new home construction, retail opportunities and improve the quality of life in our community.
