Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Interim Field Guides

For 2023, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be held in the United States. APEC was established in 1989 to leverage the Asia-Pacific region's growing interdependence. APEC members or member economies work together to facilitate trade and economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region. In August of 2023, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack chaired the Food Security Ministerial in Seattle.

USDA is committed to publishing approximately 17 interim field guides by early 2024, resulting from workshops, field trips, knowledge sharing initiatives, and best practices observed during the U.S. host year of APEC. These interim field guides will reflect the presentations and outcomes of several APEC working groups. The final reviewed and approved field guides will be posted to APEC.org.
