We recently marked the final day of Feds Feed Families Campaign.

José Otero-García, USDA Rural Development State Director for Puerto Rico, led the efforts of the Campaign that included the help from our sister Agency, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). We collected 500 pounds of food and more is on the way.

The State Director indicated that the food will be donated to the Fondita de Jesús’ Food Bank in Puerto Rico. This recognized non-profit organization provides hot meals, clothing, welfare and counseling services for the homeless and also serves as a transitional living facility.

All our employees at USDA Rural Development Puerto Rico worked hard during the Feds, Farmers, and Friends Feeds Families Program Campaign. We are very proud to be part of the National Campaign that collected food at USDA offices across the country.
